Tanzania is a large country, and the primary safari sites may be divided into two groups: the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater in the north, and the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater in the south (The Selous and Ruaha). Most people come to the north because it has Tanzania’s famous highlights – and rightfully so, as the wildlife and game viewing are fantastic. However, the north’s fame may frequently eclipse the south, which is one of East Africa’s best-kept secrets, in our opinion. West Tanzania is the ultimate in luxury safaris. It is incredibly expensive to travel there, and as a result, few people visit. As a rough estimate, 70% of travelers will travel north, 25% will travel south, and only 5% or less would travel west.
